Calling all sketch artists, costume makers, game designers, jewelers, self-published authors, and other makers of things – WorldCon 75 is selling table space in Creators Alley. These are paid-for tables, available for shorter blocks of time than the Dealer’s Room tables. Use the space to sell your work, run demonstrations, or just meet like-minded people.
We are looking forward to seeing the highest quality and best selection of Creators at Worldcon 75. We will review each application carefully. When reviewing applications we will take into consideration the quality of the products, their appeal to an audience of Science Fiction and Fantasy fans, and a diverse cross section of works.
We encourage you to send us a portfolio that includes best of your work, be it art, goods or writing samples. Or you can choose to send us photographs of previous table setups. Free feel to also tell us what kind of art and products you are planning to bring to convention and why you should be chosen for Worldcon 75 Creators Alley.
Creators Alley will be in the same Hall as the Dealer’s Room, which is open to the public. You will have access to the same loading bay as the Dealers. Time slots are for one table for a minimum of one day. Pricing will be announced soon.
Please either fill the Creators Alley form below or follow this direct link to the form.
The application deadline is 2017-03-31 21:59 UTC (Midnight Finnish time (GMT+2) on 31 March, 2017). We will inform successful applicants by 1st May.
Worldcon 75 reserves the right to refuse bookings. We are open to the sale of most goods and services, however there will be some restrictions.
Worldcon 75 welcomes to all traditions, however please be aware that there will be young children in attendance.
The Messukeskus convention centre has an exclusive deal for the sale of food and drink.
The sale of weapons is prohibited. It is possible to sell replica or LARP weapons, please contact us to discuss (email@example.com).
We also exclude anything generating live flames, a strong odour (including incense, perfume, oils and essences), loud noises, or that causes crowds to gather in the aisles (including audible audio or video presentations). We also will not allow displays which are too tall (more than 7 feet / 2.14 metres above the floor) or which block access to any other creator’s space, the common backspace, or the aisles.
Creators are responsible for providing their own insurance and for ensuring that they comply with relevant laws. If you have any questions around this, please contact us. We hope to provide a FAQ addressing taxes and visas soon.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday: 10:00–18:00
Creators will be allowed into the room early each day to set up.
You may contact us with any queries at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will provide responses in Finnish or English.
